PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for performing control so as to avoid collisions at the time of transmitting data from plural transponders to one interrogator related in common to them. SOLUTION: This system is provided with the interrogator (reader) for interposing a gap and cyclically sending out an inquiry burst within one inquiry field and the plural transponders for transmitting the data to the reader. For the respective transponders, at the time of transmitting the data to the reader, delay time after the detection of the end (EOB) signals of the burst until actual transmission of a request to send (RTS) signal is respectively set at random. Thus, even when the RTS signals collide between the transponders relating to the end of a certain burst, the transmission of the data is achieved without colliding with the other transponder corresponding to the end of one of the bursts thereafter.
