IMAGE PROCESSOR AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a color image in the same color even when a darkest point differs between different kind of devices. SOLUTION: The image processor that applies prescribed image processing to image data received from a device handling an image and outputs the processed data to other device is provided with a black adaptation correction means. This black adaptation correction means corrects image data so that a color of an image by each device is seen nearly the same by taking difference in human visibility of black adaptation into account when a darkest point of each device differs from each other. The image color is seen nearly the same in each device even when the darkest point of each device differs by using the black adaptation correction means to correct image data.
