PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set recording reservation concerning the re-broadcasting program of a content similar to a program whose recording reservation is canceled by providing a means storing recording reservation information of the program in a non-volatile memory when the re-broadcasting program of the content similar to the canceled recording reservation program exists. SOLUTION: Display data for reserving a program is sent to CRT 8 through a multiplexer 6 and a video output circuit 7 and is displayed. A user inputs the channel number and the broadcasting time band of the program whose recording is to be reserved based on the display picture by a remote control transmitter 22. A system controller 20 stores program reservation information such as ID or the program name, the channel and the broadcasting time band of the reservation program in a non-volatile memory 21. Then, a recording start command is sent to VTR connected to the digital television broadcasting receiver when recording reservation is executed and recording is started based on the command.
