PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the fitting of a luminaire without using an adapter, and to securely prevent the generation of a fall of the luminaire. SOLUTION: A fitting device body 1 is fixed to a ceiling surface C. The fitting device body 1 is provided with a plug insertion port 33, to which a hook plug blade is to be connected, at a lower surface thereof. The fitting body 1 is provided with a pair of support pieces 9 for receiving the downward load of a luminaire 8 freely to appear and disappear in relation to a side surface of the fitting device body 1. An operating lever 92 to be operated at the time of moving the support pieces 9 forward and backward in relation to the fitting device body 1 is exposed in the lower surface of the fitting device body 1. The operating lever 92 is formed with a lock recessed part 95 at a lower surface thereof, and when an insertion plug blade 71 of a U-plug 7 is inserted into a plug blade insertion port 33, a lock projection 73 provided in the U-plug 7 is engaged with the lock recessed part 95 so as to lock the operating lever 92.
