PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cassette which minimizes the deformation of a tape wound around a hub member, prevents trouble, such as drop-out and is capable of surely fixing the tape by positioning a clamping member with good accuracy and diminishing a difference in level between the clamping member and the hub member. SOLUTION: This tape case includes the hub member 20 which has a drum body 22 to be wound with the tape 30 on its peripheral surface 22a, a recessed part which is disposed on the peripheral surface of this drum body and the clamping member 10 which is freely turnably mounted by a supporting shaft 25 on its one end side and of which the outside surface constitutes the outer peripheral surface when the other end side is fitted into the recessed part by turning. The tape holding member 15 and the holding member 27 cooperatively hold the tape when the clamping member turns and fits into the recessed part and the one end 30' of the tape is fixed to the drum body by detaining of a detaining member 12 and a member 26 to be detained.
