摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the vibration of a head and to reduce the time required to move the head even though the number of servo patterns for one track on a disk is small and a servo pattern head is located in a dead zone. SOLUTION: The storage device is provided with a magnetic disk, which has two servo patterns per track, a servo demodulating circuit, which detects the position of a head as a detection position signal Sp1 based on the patterns, a comparison section 130, which outputs the difference between a target position signal Sp0 and the signal Sp1 as a positional error signal Ss, an amplifying section 131, which amplifies the signal Ss with a gain G1 that is lower than a gain G0, and a control section 132 which outputs a voice coil motor(VCM) operating amount signal Sm1 corresponding to the operating amount against a VCM 115 to move a magnetic head to the VCM 115 based on an amplified positional error signal P1.
