PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To write title information on an MD of a read-out origin in the MD of a write-in destination by using a digital audio interface between a reproducing device and a storage device. SOLUTION: A system controller 105 of an MD player 100 controls the operation sending the title information read out from a UTOC of a reproducing MD 101 to a modulation part 104. The modulation part 104 sends the title information onto the digital audio interface as a sub-code Q. The system controller 205 of an MD recorder 200 controls the operation restoring the title information from the sub-code Q on the digital audio interface by a demodulation part 202, and writing it in the UTOC of a recording MD 201. The audio data are transmitted from the MD player 100 to the MD recorder 200 as an audio sample on the digital audio interface.
