PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the machine room of a refrigerator in a small size, and to promote the evaporation of water in a drain pan. SOLUTION: In a refrigerator in which a refrigerating cycle is constituted of a compressor 22, an evaporator, a condenser, etc., and a drain pan 33 which receives defrosted water produced by means of the evaporator is arranged on the compressor 22 and which is provided with a compressor housing room 23 for housing the drain pan 33 and compressor 22, supply air passages are provided for respectively supplying the air heat-exchanged with the condenser to the pan 33 and compressor 22.
