PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a deforming process while referring to specifying curves and to improve a deforming operation processing by deforming frame lines passing a movement point on the basis of a predetermined 1st circular rate-of-change specifying curve, based on the movement point as a reference value. SOLUTION: A curved surface SB to be deformed, the movement point P1, and a moving vector quantity are given. Then a rate-of-change specifying curve is generated for two longitudinal and lateral frame lines passing the movement point P1. The two frame lines are deformed according to the given rate-of-change. Similarly, frame lines which do not pass the movement point are deformed while interpolated. Namely, the correspondence positions of respective passing points of respective rate-of-change curves on the curved surface are found, the positions, the directions of tangents at the positions, and the values of tangent vectors are found, and a process for multiplying the positions of the original frame lines, the tangent directions, and tangent vectors is performed to deform the curve. Then a patch is generated from the deformed frame lines to obtain a curved surface after deformation. Thus, the frame lines passing the movement point are deformed according to the 1st rate-of- change specifying curve. |
