PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shadow mask using a material other than an iron material and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A resist layer is patterned with a stripe shape on a conductive substrate, exposed, electric nickel plating is conducted to an exposed conductive substrate part, then the conductive substrate is peeled off to manufacture a shadow mask. The shadow mask has an electron beam passing through part made of nickel or a nickel alloy. Etching treatment is conducted to the shadow mask to form a stain finished surface.
