PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay with improved insulation performance. SOLUTION: A housing groove 49a in which a normally open contact plate 30, a movable contact plate 31, and a normally closed contact plate 32 are set respectively is placed at one end side of a body 4 in the long direction, and recessed housing part 42 in which an electromagnetic block is set is placed at the other end side. The electromagnetic block 1 has an amateur which moves back and forth in accordance with an electric current carrying condition of a coil. A card 2 is bridged between the amateur and the movable contact plate 31 opposing to a wall 41 which constitutes the ceiling of the recessed housing part 42 and press the movable contact plate 31 in accordance with the back and forth motion of the amateur 16, and switch the contact part 3. A protruded base 50 is protrusively formed on a part of the wall 41 between the electromagnetic block 1 and contact 3, and the creeping distance alongside of the wall 41 between the electromagnetic block 1 and the contact 3, and card 2 can be elongated.
