DVD PLAYER WITH FUNCTION OF CONTROLLING EXTERNAL RECORDING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A DVD player with function of controlling external recording device is provided so that a record function or a stop function of an external record device is selected without a user operating the external record device by transmitting remote wireless control signals corresponding to record/stop to the external record device if playback/stop modes are selected by a user or if playback of DVD stops automatically. CONSTITUTION: This invention is about a DVD player(100) which has a function of controlling an external record device by which the DVD player(100) can control record/record-stop functions of external record device such as VCR in remote wireless control automatically. If a DVD playback mode is selected by a playback key in a state in which a record device remote control mode is selected by remote control mode selecting key, a control part(120) generates DVD playback signal and record signal and outputs them respectively. If a DVD stop mode is selected by a stop key in a state in which a record device remote control mode is selected, the control part(120) generates a DVD playback stop signal and record stop signal and outputs them respectively. A pickup part(130) receives a DVD playback signal or a DVD playback stop signal of the control part(120) and plays back signal recorded in DVD or stops playback of signals. A remote wireless control signal generating part(170) receives the record signal or a record stop signal of the control part(120) and generates remote wireless control signals correspondingly and transmits the signals.
