PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misoperation of keys by automatically lighting a backlight of a display section and a key section upon the receipt of a prescribed message from a base station, so as to allow the user to easily confirm the keys while suppressing consumption of a battery. SOLUTION: When a message reception monitor means 74 receives a prescribed message such a urgency of key entry from a base station, a control section 70 reads setting contents wavelength backlight lighting control from a user set storage area 61 and allows a backlight control means 72 to automatically light the backlight of a display section 40 and a key section 50, when lighting instruction is set. When instruction information for usual lighting is not set, an operation of a timer 73 is started, and when the setting time elapses through time advance, the control section 70, causes the backlight to switch off. When backlight automatic lighting is not set, the backlight si lighted by one of initial key operations. Thus, the user can easily recognize the key section even if dark and can easily operate the keys.
