PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvement in the efficiency of sentence preparation utilizing seamless input processing by inputting even a character string, where plural kinds of characters coexist through simple operation and effectively performing seamless learning. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a seamless dictionary 48, on which a reading character string and an index character string defined as the converted result which includes a symbol character such as parenthesis are made to correspond to each other and registered, seamless dictionary retrieval processing part 32 for retrieving the seamless dictionary 48, based on the inputted reading character string and discriminating whether or not a character corresponding to the symbol character such as parentheses exists in the inputted reading character string, and KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) converting processing part 30 for executing continuous single KANJI conversion to a reading character string part, excepting for the character corresponding to the symbol character such as the parentheses, when it is discriminated the character corresponding to the symbol character such as parentheses exists in the inputted reading character string. |
