COLOR FILTER FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent short-circuiting between a color filter for a liquid crystal display device and a counter substrate even if a transparent conductive film on the projecting part is in contact with the counter substrate by specifying material quality and a shape of a projecting part with a spacer function. SOLUTION: A color filter 1 for a liquid crystal display device comprises a color filter layer 3 formed on a transparent substrate 2 and projecting parts 4 having spacer functions and overhanging shapes formed between pixels on the color filter layer 3. Besides, transparent conductive films 5A, 5B are provided on the projecting parts 4 and the color filter 3 respectively. The transparent conductive film 5A on the overhanging shaped projecting part 4 and the transparent conductive film 5B on the color filter layer 3 are separated from each other and not in a connected state. The projecting part 4 with a spacer function consists of exposed and developed photosensitive resin having a UV absorption with light absorption at 365 nm wavelength of >=1 abs per 1 μm coated film thickness and has the overhanging shape.
