PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect dew condensation before the dew condensation occurs at a functional part in a camera by providing a dew condensation detecting means for detecting dew condensation in a camera body at the back position of a vent hole in the camera body. SOLUTION: A spot for ventilation into the camera body is restricted, and the vent hole 21 is formed between a front cover 20 constituting one part of the camera body 11 and a grip rubber 18. Inflow space 23 for fluid is secured on the back surface of the rubber 18 and air and a waterdroplet infiltrating from the hole 21 are taken in the space 23. Then, the vent hole 24 is formed to penetrate at a position on the front cover 20 corresponding to the space 23. A substrate for detecting dew condensation 26 is installed at the rear of the hole 24 in the camera body 11. The substrate 26 is installed nearer to the hole 24 than the main substrate 27 of the camera, so that the air flowing in from the hole 24 touches the substrate 26 among the internal parts of the camera first. Thus, the operation of the camera is controlled and the progress of the dew condensation is prevented.
