PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contacting type automatic ticket examination machine which can deal with plural cards in a short time without making double drawing, etc., even when the cards are held up over a communication area. SOLUTION: A non-contacting type automatic ticket examination machine processes the entrance/exit of the owner of a non-contact card by making data transfer between its main body and the card. The machine is provided with an inhibiting means which inhibits the entrance/exit of the owners of the other non-contact cards when communication is made between the main body of the machine and a second non-contact card within a prescribed period of time after the communication between the main body and a first non-contact card ends.
