PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity information management system which surely releases security using tags to improve the quality of commodity management and security management and improves the system efficiency. SOLUTION: A degausser 60 which degausses a magnetized security tag 102 added to a commodity 100 after a bar code 101 is read by a read part 80, a magnetic detector 70 which detects magnetism of the security tag 102 degaussed by the degausser 60, and a control part 201 which uses an LED 94 and a speaker 95 to inform an operator of the detection result of the magnetic detector 70 are provided. The operator recognizes whether security of the security tag 102 is released or not based on light of the LED 94 and a tone from the speaker 95.
