PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binarization circuit in an information reproduction system which performs adaptive binarization without using the maximum value nor minimum value of a preceding frame. SOLUTION: This binarization circuit comprises a code reading part 10 which optically reads a two-dimensional dot code, a line buffer 14 for delaying an image signal corresponding to the read dot code a prescribed time, a signal processing part 15 for enhancing the dot contour of the delayed image signal, a maximum value/minimum value detecting part 11 which detects the maximum value and the minimum value of the read image signal every line, a binarization threshold calculating part 13 which calculates binarization threshold from the maximum and minimum values detected by the maximum value/minimum value detecting part every line, a position detecting part 12 which transmits a control signal to the maximum value/minimum value detecting part and the binarization threshold calculating part and a binarizing part 16 which binarizes the image signal processed by the part 15 with the binarization threshold calculated by the binarization threshold calculating part. |
