PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe coupling in which a part to be pressed of a chuck piece is made into a pressing state in a centripetal direction by a tapered surface of an operating sleeve and thereby a sure connection with a pipe body to be connected is made possible. SOLUTION: This pipe coupling is provided with a packing holder 5 capable of slidably fitting into a coupling main cylinder body 1 having a fluid passage at the inside and being abutted on a pipe body to be connected in a sealing state, a plurality of chuck pieces 12 which are freely rotatably supported by the coupling main cylinder body 1 in centripetal and centrifugal directions, open and close by rotating in the centripetal and centrifugal directions and holds the pipe body to be connected abutting on the packing holder 5, an operating sleeve 22 which freely slidably fits into an outer periphery of the coupling main cylinder body 1, presses the chuck pieces on the inner peripheral surface in a centripetal direction by advancing and locking the chick pieces in closed states and a lock sleeve 26 which fits into the outer periphery of the coupling main cylinder body 1, advances by receiving fluid pressure within the coupling main cylinder body 1 and prevents the advanced operating sleeve 22 from retreating. On each of a tip inner peripheral surface of the operating sleeve 22 and tip outside faces of the chuck pieces, each of tapered surfaces 24a, 12a pressing the chuck pieces in the centripetal direction by moving of the operating sleeve 22 in the advancing direction is formed. |
