PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and an apparatus in which a very small pit can be recorded by a matrix aligner in order to enhance the recording density of an optical disk. SOLUTION: In a matrix aligner, a recording laser A is divided into two lasers. One laser C is not modulated so as to expose a master disk by using only a DC component, and the other laser B is modulated on a recording signal so as to expose the master disk. The two lasers are adjusted in such a way that a spot on the recording disk is shifted to the radial direction of the disk by the length of 1/2 of a track pitch to be recorded, and they are exposed simultaneously. In addition, the laser beam which is modulated is shaped to be an oval shape by a light shielding body 11 which is inserted on its optical axis. |
