PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic pocketbook which is easily connected to a communication system and is also formed in a thin type so as to be convenient to be carried and to provide its operating method. SOLUTION: In this electronic pocketbook, a liquid crystal displaying part 312, a power supply button 318, a clear key, ten keys, function keys and optical signal light emitting and receiving part 325 are arranged on the front side formed by an upper case 351. A finger insertion hole for taking out an IC card is provided on the rear face side formed by a lower case 352. A battery opening/ closing cover 354 is provided in a lower part of the case 352, and cover opening/ closing finger catching grooves 355 are provided on the surface of the cover 354. Also, a DC jack 353 for connecting an external power supply and a cover 356 for exposing a connector for an external communicating part are provided on both left and right side faces of the electronic pocketbook 31. Further, two card slots 3151 and 3161 divided by a partition plate 358 are provided on an upper side surface of the pocketbook 31. |
