PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode-ray tube with an electron gun having a built-in resistor with excellent withstand voltage characteristics and focussing characteristics. SOLUTION: A built-in resistor 12 has a resistor pattern 19 formed on the surface of an insulating plate 18 parallel to the center axis of an electron gun, terminal connecting conductive films 22b, 23b, 24b connected to the resistor pattern and formed at the opposite ends in the length direction of the insulating plate, terminals 22, 23, 24 fixed to the terminal connecting conductive films and extracted in the direction parallel to the center axis of the electron gun, and an insulating film layer 21a covering the whole surface of the resistor pattern and the outer circumferential region of the terminal connecting conductive films, and the built-in resistor 12 is fixed to an insulating supporting rod for supporting a grid electrode of the electron gun.
