PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of dioxin, and the like, by providing a passage for introducing exhaust gas from a melting furnace to an incinerator between them in order to heat up the exhaust gas from the incinerator with the exhaust gas from the melting furnace and to achieve energy saving by eliminating the need of auxiliary burner, and the like. SOLUTION: A processing system 1 for refuse, e.g. shredder dust, comprises an incinerator 2, a melting furnace 3, a heat exchanger 4, a gas cooling tower 5, and a dust collector 6 wherein refuse being thrown in from a hopper 7 by a specified quantity at a time is fed with heated air from a combustion air supply pipe 9 and combusted. Incineration residue is discharged from a discharge opening 2b to the outside, formed into a mass at a forming unit 11, thrown into the melting furnace 3 along with fuel and slag conditioning material in a hopper 13, 14 at a fixed rate and then heated and melted. Combustion exhaust gas is introduced, as exhaust gas, through a gas pipeline 16 to the incinerator 2 in order to decompose dioxins in the exhaust gas thus making the exhaust gas harmless.
|
