PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cylindrical phased array radar which can shorten the all-round search time used to enhance the search and tracking data rate of a plurality of short-distance targets and that of a target whose flying performance is high. SOLUTION: Radio waves are radiated simultaneously to all azimuth directions by a transmitting azimuth nondirectional antenna 21. Reflected signals from a plurality of directions are received by a cylindrical receiving phased array antenna 22 and a beam formation part 3 as a multibeam which is formed by a DBF and whose directivity is high. Thereby, the all-round search time can be shortened. In addition, the number of beam azimuths (the number of multibeams) are set as the integral multiple of the number of all column arrays. A weight which is fixed in advance is stored in a weight memory 3-2. Thereby, a computing amount which is required for forming the multibeam can be reduced, and it is possible to restrain a circuit from becoming complicated.
|
