PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate the area indicating a prescribed image from a moving image with accuracy at a high speed. SOLUTION: An image processing method in which the area indicating a prescribed image is discriminated from a moving image based on a genetic algorithm comprises a step to fetch a frame image from a moving image data train, a step to generate plural initial chromosomes indicating the prescribed image from the frame images precedent to the fetched frame image, and a discriminating step to discriminate the area of the prescribed image in the frame image by executing the genetic algorithm by using the initial chromosomes.
