PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely check the lock state of a cash drawer by providing a control part which supplies the 1st voltage and the 2nd voltage to a drive part in a normal mode and a check mode respectively and detects the conduction current that flows through the drive part. SOLUTION: In a normal mode, a cash drawer drive circuit 2 applies the power voltage V+ and V- to the solenoid terminals 4 and 5 respectively to drive a cash drawer solenoid (drive part) 15. In a check mode, it is indicated to apply the voltage having the polarity opposite to that of the normal mode to the solenoid 15. Then, the circuit 2 applies the - and + potentials to the terminals 4 and 5 respectively based on an instruction given from a control part 1. The part 1 can detect the conduction current of the solenoid 15 via an input port 6 and also can detect the presence or absence of the breaking of wire based on the energizing current value of both normal and check modes.
