PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion of foods mutually and permit the freezing of the foods in bulk by a method wherein the slats of a slat conveyor are oscillated to freeze the foods while oscillating the foods to be frozen upon freezing the foods while transferring the foods to be frozen by the slat conveyor, moving in refrigerant. SOLUTION: Matter A to be frozen is transferred by a charging conveyor 3 and is charged into refrigerant C to freeze in a dipping tank 1 sequentially from the terminal end of the conveyor. The matter A to be frozen, charged into the dipping tank 1, is put on a slat conveyor 2 provided on the bottom unit of the dipping tank 1 and is moved whereby the matter A is frozen by the refrigerant C. The slat conveyor 2 is constituted of a multitude of rods 22, suspended between a pair of left-and-right conveyor chains 21 and slats 23 are attached to respective rods 22 through bearings so as to be capable of pivoting the tip end in the advancing direction. In this case, respective slats 23 are oscillated by colliding against a plurality of projections 24 provided in the slat conveyor 2 with a predetermined space whereby neighboring matters A to be frozen are prevented from adhering to each other. |
