Preparing suspension of particulate reinforcing filler in a silicone material, comprises treating filler with a compatibility agent. Preparing a suspension of particulate reinforcing filler in a silicone material comprises treating particulate filler with 8-30 wt.% compatibility agent. Part of the agent is added before of during addition of the silicone material. The other part is added after the addition of the silicone material. The silicone material comprises: (a) at least one reactive linear organic polysiloxane bearing at each chain end at least two condensable or hydrolysable groups, or a single hydroxy group; and optionally (b) non-reactive linear organic polysiloxane not bearing condensable, hydrolysable or hydroxy group; and (c) water. The suspension is crosslinked or hardened by polycondensation. An Independent claim is also included for preparing organic polysiloxane composition which is crosslinked or hardened by polycondensation.
