The opener is made in one piece from a plastic material and consists of a lever handle (20) with a hook (40) at one end that can be inserted under the ring and a leg (60) adjacent to the hook and at right angles to the handle to depress the opening tab as the hook lifts the ring. Preferred Features: The opener is flat, measuring about 60 mm long by 5 mm thick, with the leg projecting some 132 mm from the handle. A curved recess in the edge of the handle is designed to go over the rim of the can when the handle is pressed down.
