BULB TYPE FLUORESCENT LAMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp which can restrain an increase of inner air pressure in an envelope without damaging its appearance even it is a substantially sealed type envelope and prevent a breakage of the envelope. SOLUTION: This lamp is structured to comprise: a luminous tube 18; a cover 14 which supports the luminous tube 18 and has a base 12; a lighting device 16 which lights the luminous tube 18 enclosed in the cover 14; a glove 17 which covers the luminous tube 18 and is attached to the cover 14 in a substantially sealed condition; and a ventilation means 19 which is formed between the cover 14 and a base 12. A ventilation can be performed by the ventilation means 19 which is formed between the cover 14 and the base 12 even the inside of the cover 14 is a substantially sealed condition. Thereby, it is possible to prevent breakage of the cover 14 and prevent its appearance from being spoiled even if an inner air pressure of the cover 14 is excessively increased according to a temperature increase or the like of the lighting device 16.
