<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide capacitor film used inside a car engine room which is enhanced in dielectric breakdown voltage, stabilized in dielectric characteristics, improved in mechanical characteristics, and capable of keeping its mechanical characteristics at high level when it is used in a sever environment. SOLUTION: A car engine room capacitor film of polyethylene-2, 6- naphthalate has physical properties such as an intrinsic viscosity(IV) 0.56 or above, degree of crystallization 32 to 42%, retention of elongation 50% or above after it is subjected to a deterioration test carried out at 170 deg.C for 3000 hours, and residual elongation 30% or above after the test.</p> |
