摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately decide the proper position to form an image on a belt type photoreceptor for an image forming device in which a toner image is formed on a photoreceptor, by forming a region having different optical characteristics under the uppermost layer of the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: In the photoreceptor, a mark 1 by a nongloss black coating material is formed on an aluminum vapor deposition layer 5 on a polyethylene terephthalate(PET) base body 4, and further a charge generating layer(CGL) 6 and a charge transfer layer(CTL) 7 are applied thereon. The belt type photoreceptor with the mark thus produced has no (or extremely little) projection or recess in the uppermost layer, so that the belt is hardly contaminated with a toner or the like. Even when the belt is contaminated, it is easily cleaned so that the mark can be accurately detected. Therefore, such a problem that an image is formed in a nonpicture forming region (such as a region with 70 mm width) near the seam of the photoreceptor and is exposed and electrified can be surely avoided.
