PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain adjustment of exponential part data in a way that a plural sets of characteristic part data are made identical to each other by using each of mantissa part data and characteristic part data obtained by re-scaling so as to allow a signal processing arithmetic section to execute arithmetic operations by data of a fixed floating point form. SOLUTION: A signal processing arithmetic section 201 receives mantissa part data 109a and characteristic part data 108a, conducts processing arithmetic operation to output mantissa part arithmetic output data 201a and characteristic part arithmetic output data 201b. A mantissa part storage memory 202 stores mantissa part data in K words among data for arithmetic processing by the signal processing arithmetic section 201 and an exponential part storage memory 203 stores one word of characteristic part data (q) among the data for arithmetic processing by the signal processing arithmetic section 201. An input data re- scaling section 203 applies re-scaling to the mantissa part data 109a and a storage data re-scaling section 205 applies re-scaling to data stored in the storage memories 202, 203.
