PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To melt ice in an ice heat storage tank in a short time by supplying water to the ice. SOLUTION: An ice heat storage device is constituted in such a way that the ice made in ice thermal storage tanks 11-1 and 11-2 is melted by supplying water to the ice from the tank 11-1 by switching flow passage change-over valves 17-1 and 17-2 and the cold water flowing to the tank 11-2 is taken out from the tank 11-2. The temperature of the cold water is detected by means of a cold-water temperature sensor 19 and, when the temperature becomes a set value or higher, the ice is more efficiently melted by switching the supplying direction of the water by switching the valves 17-1 and 17-2.
