PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a chlorofluorocarbon recovery apparatus per se which recovers chlorofluorocarbon in a liquefied state, to facilitate delivery and transportation of the apparatus to the site of use to thereby reduce duty hours of the operator, and to eliminate a fear that the recovered chlorofluorocarbon in the liquefied state, stored in the apparatus expands thermally with the lapse of time, and therefore the internal pressure becomes excessively high to explode the apparatus per se. SOLUTION: The chlorofluorocarbon recovery apparatus is constituted of a tank cooling means 4 and an auxiliary storage tank 9, in addition to a storage tank 3 for storing recovered chlorofluorocarbon in a liquefied state. The tank cooling means 4 includes a refrigerant 14 which supplies cold to the storage tank 3 to thereby liquefy the recovered chlorofluorocarbon in the storage tank 3. The auxiliary storage tank 9 functions to store chlorofluorocarbon in an amount exceeding the capacity of the storage tank 3, when supply of cold from the refrigerant 14 is terminated and hence the recovered liquefied chlorofluorocarbon in the storage tank 3 expands thermally, to thereby avoid generation of an excessively high pressure state in the apparatus.
