PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set a playing key with a simple utilization procedure without relying upon a personal card or personal remote controller of a KARAOKE sing-along machine. SOLUTION: This machine has a compass measurement mode for measuring the user's compass. In this mode, the user's singing voices from a microphone 26 are analyzed and the compass classification code corresponding to the compass classification model to which the user's compass corresponds is displayed on the screen of a display 34 and is announced to the user. When the machine receives the compass classification code together with the request for a musical piece from the user through a remote control transmitter 14 and an operation panel 18, the machine captures the main melody compass information of this musical piece prior to the playing of the musical piece. The machine collates the captured main melody compass information and the user's compass based on the compass classification code and sets a playing key in a manner that the user is easy to sing. |
