PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharging method of process air for obtaining the high pressure ratio and high efficiency by supercharging the process air, by a displacement type machine ML in one supercharging stage of a two-stage superchaging method, supercharging the process air by combination expansion-compression machines ATL, COM in the other supercharging stage, and recovering energy from wasted gas of a fuel cell BZ by the combination expansion-compression machines. SOLUTION: In process air supplied on the cathode side of a fuel cell BZ, a combination expansion-compression machine ATL is used for preliminary compression of supercharging air in first stage supercharging. The ATL includes a turbine T and a compressor V and is arranged on a common shaft W. Wasted gas expands by the turbine T, and recovering energy is supplied to the compressor V. A mechanical supercharger ML is driven by an electric motor M in a second supercharging stage. The compressed process air is introduced to the fuel cell BZ on the cathode side. Anode/ cathode exhaust gas or cathode waste gas is introduced to a catalytic burner KB after comin out of the fuel cell BZ to become a heat source of a fuel system, and the waste gas is introduced in the turbine T. |
