PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable emission of light without generating heat by the use of a frictional luminescence phenomenon by providing a piezoelectric film held by an electrode film on a substrate, and providing a pressure-responding light emitting layer that emits light when it is applied with pressure. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric light emission element 1 is provided with a substrate 10, an electrode film 11, a piezoelectric film 12, an electrode film 13, a pressure-responding light emission layer 14 and a transparent substrate 15. The substrates 10, 15 are composed of silicon, inorganic oxide, resin or the like. The electrode films 11, 13 are the electrodes to apply a voltage to the piezoelectric film 12 and are formed of platinum, iridium or the like. The layer 14 is composed of a material that emits light with the reception of pressure with the frictional luminescence phenomenon generated, and in the case of N-isopropyl carbazole used, a strong blue light is generated. With this constitution wherein no optical source of optical heat is used, a temperature rise is less, and with the detection of intensity of emission of light, deviation of a piezoelectric body can be measured indirectly. |
