PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cash register and its transaction information recording method which can present information to specify a person who used a counterfeit paper money. SOLUTION: The cash register is provided with a storage means 2, a monitor camera 7 which is so set that a customer performing a transaction can be photographed, a paper money read means 9 which reads information of paper money which the customer uses, and a data recording means 1 which photographs the customer by the monitor camera 7 to generate its picture data and reads information of paper money used by the customer by the paper money read means 9 and records these picture data and information of paper money in the storage means 2 in relation to each other. If a counterfeit paper money is used, picture data related to information of this paper money are referred to specify the customer who used this counterfeit paper money.
