PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make character display devices differing in the display mode and the display capability display by using the same display data. SOLUTION: A display data input device 1 is a device for inputting a display data consisting of character information and attribute of the character information, and inputs a common data to a display device 3 via a display control device 2. The display control device 2 checks a control command peculiar to the device from this display data, and issues the control command. A display data analysis part 2-1 analyzes the kinds of the inputted display data character by character. A display data judging part 2-2 judges a character attribute part and a character data part from the kind of the characters based on the character attribute and delimiters of the character data, and retrieves a control command matching with the character attribute by using a correspondence table 2-3 between the attribute and the control command, and obtains the control command. A display data output part 2-4 outputs the control command and the character data to the display 3.
