PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make controllable the pressing force with high accuracy by inserting plural guide shafts into a rotation stopping member, moving the plural guide shafts in the shaft direction of a pressing shaft by a motor and a screw mechanism, and pressing a stationary test piece holder to the rotary test piece holder side via the pressing shaft. SOLUTION: A controller inputs a pressure signal from a load cell 44 to control the rotation of a motor so as to become a required value. The rotation of a rotation stopping member 47 is checked by three guide shafts 45, and when rotating the motor, a screw shaft 57 rotates, and a cylindrical member 53 moves, so that the rotation stopping member 47 moves along the guide shafts 45. A pressing member 49 of the rotation stopping member 47 presses the load cell 44, a stationary test piece holder 29 moves along the guide shafts 45, a stationary test piece 33 is pressed under prescribed pressure to a rotary test piece 31 rotating together with a rotary test piece holder 27, and a friction abrasion test is performed in this state. Thus, the stationary test piece holder 29 can be accurately pressed with a simple constitution.
