PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger/ventilator which can sustain the indoor heating effect while preventing damage due to freezing without stopping the ventilating function when the outer air temperature is low. SOLUTION: A heat exchanger/ventilator comprises an exhaust channel arranged with a fan 15 for exhausting indoor air A, a supply channel arranged with a fan 25 for supplying outdoor air B, and a heat exchanging element 3 arranged across both channels, all of which are contained in a casing 1. A temperature detector 5 for stopping the air supply fan 25 when the temperature of the outdoor supply air B is lower than a specified level is disposed in the vicinity of the air supply fan 25.
