<p>A bat (100) is disclosed having a metal handle portion (104), a wood barrel portion (102) with a locking portion (204) fitting within a barrel receiving end (302) of the metal handle portion (104), and a means (400) for securing the metal handle portion (104) to the wood barrel portion (102). The means (400) for securing the two portions of the bat (100) is a locking pin system (400) wherein the preferred embodiment is a locking pin (412) having a first end (402) and a second end (404) and extending the length of the metal handle portion (104).</p> |
