<p>An aerator for aerating water in a livewell (114) includes a main impeller (10) and a booster impeller (12) within a pump casing (14). The pump casing (14) has a water inlet (16), a water outlet (20), and an air inlet (18) positioned between the main impeller (10) and the booster impeller (12). The aerator is useable on a fishing boat having a sea-chest (110) and a livewell (114). The aerator is used to pump water from the sea-chest (110) to the livewell (114), the sea-chest (110) being provided with an air relief line (124) having a check valve (126) to prevent air from entering the aerator and causing air lock.</p> |
