The invention concerns a dispersion of silica particles, stable with respect to decantation and/or agglomeration, having a pH ranging between 1.5 and 4.5, obtainable by mixing, at a temperature ranging between 10 and 35 DEG C, a colloidal dispersion (A) of silica particles having an average size of not more than 100 nm with a solution (B) of polynuclear complexes of aluminium hydrolysis.
