<p>Reagents for assaying conjugated bilirubin which selectively inhibit the reactivity with unconjugated bilirubin and/or albumin-bonded bilirubin in optically assaying conjugated bilirubin with the use of bilirubin oxidase to thereby accurately assay conjugated bilirubin alone. To conventional reagents for assaying conjugated bilirubin, a specific chelating agent, a metal ion and/or a metal complex are added as reaction inhibitors. It is preferable that the reagents further contain a specific metal ion, a metal complex, a compound (1) having a free radical, a steroid glycoside or a substance containing a steroid glycoside for potentiating the reaction inhibitory effect.</p> |
