The analysis substrate comprises capillary (micro)channels including a pattern of locally-immobilized receptors, is new. An Independent claim is included for the method of making the substrate. Its body is formed with microchannels, and liquid containing base units for synthesis of polymer receptors are passed through them. The base units are immobilized in terms of specific location and/or time, at predetermined positions in the microchannels. This is repeated to synthesize desired receptors at required locations.
