Failure protected binary comparator for binary values, uses ternary state logic device

The failure protection is provided by a ternary state logic unit that compares two binary inputs. If both inputs are equal the operation is correct and the output is 4-5V. If the inputs are different, the operation is correct and the output is 1- 2V. If the output is 0-0.3V there is a fault.
