An open box is fitted into the wall and holds the water connection. This enables the builder to apply thick rendering to the wall. The open box is extended by fitting an extension strip (10) with an outer edge and a sealing strip (8) along the bottom edge. The strip is wound round the inside, or outside of the box and seals to the box. A variation gas a lipped seal to clip over the outer lip of the box. After the wall is finished any protruding strip is trimmed back to the level of the wall.
